Unlike many other facilities who utilize technicians or nurses to perform medical cosmetic procedures, every injection and most cosmetic laser rejuvenation procedures are personally performed by Dr. Eileen Bastian, MD.

SmartLipo uses a carefully calibrated laser to liquefy fat deposits through the top layers of the skin. This laser is able to melt fat, tighten underlying muscle tissues, and tighten skin. The procedure is done in one hour under light sedation with local tumescent anesthesia.

Lasers produce highly focused, intense beams of light that are absorbed by dark pigments in the hair follicles beneath the skin's surface and converted to heat, destroying the follicles and preventing hair growth. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) uses light and a light-sensitive dye to treat active acne. During the procedure, a photosensitized medication is applied to the problem area, which is then exposed to pulses of laser light.
